I am a German translator with an MA in Translation Studies (DESS Langues & Techniques) and 12 years’ experience as an in-house translator.
Since November 2009 I have been working as a freelance translator and multilingual project manager. I am also a full member of the SFT, the French Association of Interpreters and Translators (similar to the American ATA).
In order to provide my customers with accurate translations of the highest quality, I only translate from English and French into my native language German. I offer a wide range of translations in general subject areas as well as expert translations in my specialist areas.
For multilingual projects, I work with a network of native-language translators from all over Europe. They all hold postgraduate diplomas in translation and have many years experience in their fields of expertise.
Multilingual project management includes consulting, completion and follow-up – you benefit from having a sole point of contact and your project is professionally managed from start to finish.
As a professional translator I am committed to adhering to the Code of Professional Ethics Code de déontologie established by the SFT. Some of the basic principles are:
– translation into the native language,
– confidentiality and respect of professional secrecy,
– translation according to high quality standards,
– respect of the announced deadlines.
